In this acrylic painting I took the very tip of an oriental poppy and made it so huge it feels like a pink mountain. I really exploited the color, texture and light of this blossom to achieve a feeling of strength and movement.
About Jan Swaren
Hi - I'm Jan Swaren and I was born in St. Avold, France and grew up in Canada. I studied Visual Arts first at Canterbury School of the Arts in Ottawa and then at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
